Summary
A ruined neoclassical manor (the Curia) in Ilteu, Petriș commune, Arad County, built in the late 18th century and later the administrative centre of the Lo Presti and Zelenski forest estate.
History
The manor, known as the Curia, was probably built between 1780 and 1795 as a simplified neoclassical L-shaped building with stone foundations and a high roof; an 1802 archive inventory describes it. The Heredea, Lengyel and later Zelenski families lived there. The Lo Presti barons took over the estate in the 19th century and began large-scale forestry. Under Count Róbert Zelenski the estate was modernised and the manor served as the administrative centre of the forest property. It is now a ruin in advanced decay with only parts of its walls surviving.
