History
The Gyertyánffy family bought the Giera estate in 1795. According to Prin Banat, Lukács Gyertyánffy built the manor in 1829, opposite the 19th-century grain store raised by Andor Gyertyánffy; an earlier manor was demolished. After Andor the property passed to László, who died in 1947, and his three daughters inherited it. The family's properties were nationalised the following year. A 2016 press report says a grandson of László regained the manor, found it largely stripped of windows and furniture, and sold it to a private buyer for a reported 12,000 euro. Both the manor and the granary are described as badly deteriorated.
