Summary

A Baroque manor from the early 19th century in Gad (Ghilad commune, Timiș County), a single block with basement, ground floor and upper floor. Owned by the Ghilad town hall, it served briefly as a village school and is now in an advanced state of decay.

History

The manor was built in the early 19th century and passed to the Gudenus family; the last owners are recorded as Hugo and Béla Gudenus. It later housed the village school for a few years before being abandoned and falling into ruin. It is now owned by the Ghilad town hall. Old wooden window frames, traces of interior paint and two iron lantern brackets above the rear entrance survive.
