History
The manor was built in 1788 by the Damaszkin family, with Simon Damaszkin recorded as owner of Beregsău Mic in 1838. From 1880 the village was divided between Gyula Csávossy of Bobda and Szima Mucsalov, and the manor was later bought by Ivan Mučalov, whose family also built the Serbian church across the road in 1855-1860. It was nationalised in 1949 and used as a state agricultural enterprise, during which the interior was heavily altered and the tile stoves were destroyed. After 1989 the property was returned to the Mucsalov descendants. Press reports from 2016 describe a damaged roof and collapsed walls, with a caretaker living in an outbuilding and one room used as a surveying office. The owners considered an old people's home and then a guesthouse, but found no partner.
