History
A first rural residence at Hodoni is attributed to Georgius Manicaty Sofronius, who sold the estate in 1813 to György Manaszy. Szilárd Manaszy built a complex with a palace, outbuildings and a garden in 1840. Archduke Johann of Tuscany owned it in 1874, followed by Francisca Todesco from 1877, the Eróss brothers from 1879 and the Kastory family from 1888. It was sold in 1946 to a Timișoara merchant and the land was taken by the state in 1951. The palace then served as a protocol venue for the Comtim company, was gradually abandoned in the 1990s and severely degraded, and was restituted to an heir in 2004.
