Summary
The ruined manor of the boyar Apostoleanu on the former Gloduri estate, in Izvoru Berheciului (Bacău County). It was used as an office after the estate passed to a state farm and has been in ruin since 1989, according to a 2022 report.
History
The manor stood on the Gloduri estate of the boyar Alexandru Apostoleanu, nephew of Gheorghe and Smaranda Apostoleanu of Focșani, according to a 2022 local news post. After the estate came under the Traian state agricultural farm (GAS) the building served as an office; a 2005 article in Ziarul de Bacău says it was also at one point the seat of the commune's agricultural cooperative. The 2022 post says it was well kept until 1989 and has been a ruin since. The 2005 article, based on villagers' accounts, describes a modest building with some original architectural elements kept, part of it sheltering cattle, and a former orchard of walnut and plum trees with vineyards behind.
