History
The Tholdalagi family held the Corunca estate from the early 17th century, and a manor house of the 1630s stood here. Count Ferenc Tholdalagi had the present castle built in the 1830s; the original design was much larger, but money ran out and only part was built. After the Second World War the building stood empty and, under communism, served as agricultural storage. The heirs regained it in 2004 and sold it in 2005 to a French businessman, who did no restoration. In 2021 the commune bought the castle and its grounds, reportedly for about 100,000 EUR, and said it wanted to rebuild it as a nursing home after a condition survey.
