Summary
An 18th-century stone-and-brick manor in Petriceni (Sânzieni commune, Covasna County), associated with the Pótsa family. It has been privately owned since the interwar period and was reconstructed at the end of the 20th century.
History
The manor dates from the 18th century. József Pótsa (1836-1903) was Supreme Earl of the Three Chairs committee from 1877 to 1903. After the First World War a private family bought the manor in instalments from Klára Pótsa, and descendants still own it. The building is rectangular with a pyramid roof and a vaulted chamber; a large wing replaced the original porch, and late-20th-century reconstructions mean today's building can only suggest the earlier manor's appearance. The original roof structure survives, and the attic door still carries tallies of grain sacks stored there.
