History
According to a 2024 article on caransebes.ro, Anton Litsek, director of Count Festetics' estates, bought the imperial estate of Maciova (3,787 jugăre) for 29,023 florins, payable by December 1826, and paid a further 3,976 florins for a noble diploma. A TVR Timișoara documentary cited there says the family moved to Maciova from Veszprém in 1828. Fényes Elek's 1851 description of the village, quoted on Hungarian Wikipedia, records the Licsek family as holding it. The same article describes the old manor as needing restoration and reports it was offered for sale in 2024 together with a newer building containing four apartments.
