History
Jupa lies on the site of the Roman town of Tibiscum, and Roman stones found in the park of the village's manor were kept there in the 19th and 20th centuries. The Capra manor is dated 1795 in the Wikipedia list of castles of Romania, which also states that the building and its land were assigned to a company, Gurgu ProdCom SRL.
