History

The manor dates from the 18th century. In 1748 Baron József Dujardin took it over from his mother, Ileana Bethlen de Beclean. Under communism it was nationalised and turned into a primary school, which operated until 2010. It has stood abandoned for more than a decade, with damp, cracks and structural damage. In 2026 the Bonțida commune announced a restoration project worth over 10.6 million lei financed from European funds, and Cluj County Council issued the building permit.
