History
After Romania left the Axis on 23 August 1944, King Michael I and the royal family took refuge in the village's manor, staying until mid-September. Under communism the house served as a protocol residence for officials and later as a farm or agricultural cooperative. A descendant of the earlier owners reclaimed it in 1995, when it was a ruin, and the descendant began renovations and restored much of it. The property is now a guesthouse, and a fire damaged an annex in December 2020.
