History
Constantin Brâncoveanu, ruler of Wallachia in 1688-1714, held dozens of hectares of vineyards at Ștefănești from the end of the 17th century and reportedly built a wine cellar there. The heritage list dates the manor to the same 1688-1714 span. Only ruins survive, along with a gate and an enclosure wall. The village was named Valea Mare until 1931, then Valea Mare-Podgoria, and was merged into Ștefănești in 1968. The later owners and the manor's decline are not documented.
