History
The castle was built in 1770 in the Buia valley by a Hungarian count Tobias. After nationalisation it became an orphanage, which closed in 2000. The building then went to Șeica Mare town hall, which handed it to Sibiu County Council. A concession attempt in 2011 failed because the building was already a ruin, with no money invested since 1990. According to Wikipedia, it was sold at auction in 2020 to unnamed buyers who spoke of restoration, a tourist circuit and an educational centre. The building has two pavilions on a semi-basement with about 600 m2 usable area, and was still unrestored in 2023.
