Summary

An eclectic 19th-century manor of the Haller family in Blăjel (Sibiu County), now used as a village school. It is described as recently renovated.

History

The building belonged to the Haller family. Castle in Transylvania dates it to the 19th century and describes its eclectic facades, with plaster imitation quoins and lintels around the windows and round-arched windows in the projecting central bay. The Romanian Wikipedia article on Blăjel instead says the school building dates from 1713 and was originally a manor, so the dating differs between sources. The building now houses the village school, named after Roman Visarion, and is described as freshly renovated.
