History
The manor stands in the south-east of Tăcuta and is dated to the 19th century in the list of historic monuments. According to Vatra MCP and SOS Patrimoniu it was built by Gheorghe and Smaranda Sturdza, in an eclectic style mixing neoclassical features with local traditions, on a polygonal plan with two storeys separated by a linear band. A tourism-trail page lists earlier and later owners of the court, with the Sturdza family from 1824 and the Dobrescu family from 1891 to 1949, and states that the manor later served as a dispensary and maternity home and now belongs to the commune. SOS Patrimoniu says it was nationalised after World War II and used for various purposes. Monumente Uitate records its function as the village museum, but in September 2024 SOS Patrimoniu described the roof as nearly collapsed, the joinery destroyed and the park overgrown, with museum plans remaining on paper.
