Summary

A single-storey, L-shaped historicist manor in Jichișu de Jos (Cluj County), linked to the Petrichevich-Horváth family and dated to the early 20th century. It is municipal property and houses the town hall.

History

The building is associated with the Petrichevich-Horváth de Széplak family and, in Monumente Uitate, with Emil Horváth. Castle in Transylvania dates it to the beginning of the 20th century and describes it as an L-shaped historicist house that has lost much of its original character, with parts demolished and the entrance tympanum and terrace walled up. The local council renovated it in 2010, adding a new roof and raising the building. It serves as the town hall.
