History
According to an Indiscret article, the brothers Vintilă and Ionel Brătianu built a two-storey holiday villa on Mount Zmeuret in 1919, with an airstrip for planes; the communist regime nationalised it in 1948, and the article says the building fell into ruin and has not existed since the 1970s. Ziarul de Vâlcea (2019) describes it as a 19th-century building rebuilt in 1920 that is now only a ruin, with a sheepfold on the site. The nearby Brătianu Cross and fountain are monuments at the place where the family's manor once stood.
