Summary
The former Arion estate manor at Fierbinții de Jos, in Fierbinți-Târg, Ialomița County, now part of a social services complex. The tomb of General Eracle Arion lies within its grounds.
History
General Eracle Arion (1838-1903), from a family of minor boyars of Ialomița, married in 1866 Sevastia Alexandrescu, who had inherited an estate of 1,623 hectares at Fierbinți. After his death in 1903 his widow moved his remains from Bucharest to the family vault at the manor house on the estate. The manor was later vandalised. Today the site houses a social services complex, and the general's tomb is a listed monument on its grounds.
