Summary

A mid-18th-century manor ensemble in Micșuneștii Mari, Nuci commune (Ilfov County), with a manor house, a ruined gate tower and the church of the Mother of God. Founded by the Micșunescu family, it passed through the Polizu and Lecca families, was nationalised after 1949 and returned in 1993; it now hosts cultural and educational events.

Legal status

Nationalised after 1949; returned to a niece of Sylvia Lecca and her husband in 1993; the church has a different legal status ↗

History

The manor is dated to the mid-18th century in the national list, with the gate tower dated to the 17th century and the church to 1743 by its inscription (1748 in other references). The first owner named is Iordache-Asan Micșunescu. According to the ensemble's website and a 2025 article, the estate passed to his son Constantin around 1755 and, through Constantin's daughter Maria, to the Polizu family (1785), who held it until 1875. It was bought at auction in 1875-1879 by A. Keva, E. Mavrocordat and P. Vioreanu, and E. Mavrocordat became sole owner in 1879. Simeon Mihălescu bought it in 1882 and in 1904 donated it to the Lecca family, to which his wife was related. Sylvia Lecca owned it from 1904 to 1949; after nationalisation the manor decayed, and from the 1960s to 1993 it was used as a school. In 1993 it was returned to a niece of Sylvia Lecca and her husband. A 2025 article describes a restoration and enhancement programme and cultural and educational events held on site.
