History
Chancellor Mihály Teleki acquired the estate around 1680. Pál Teleki and Borbála Haller rebuilt the manor in Baroque style, the main building in 1750-1752 and the gate bastion with chapel around 1760. A fire in 1823 damaged it and Ferenc Teleki completed reconstruction in 1830. It was destroyed in the 1848-49 revolution and repaired by Andor Teleki in 1868. A new Baroque-style wing was built in the 1930s to plans by Lajos Meczner. After 1945 the state nationalised it and it housed a state agricultural enterprise; Soviet troops and locals stripped its contents. Abandoned from 1990, it passed to the county council in 2002, and rehabilitation began in 2019, with an EU-funded renovation announced in 2017.
