History
The national list of historic monuments records the house of Logothete Costache Ghica at Onești as a ruin dating from the beginning of the 19th century (monumenteiasi.ro gives 1801-1811). The ro.wikipedia article on Plugari commune lists it with the Saint Spiridon church (1805) as one of two monuments of local interest in Onești village. The National Archaeological Repertory (RAN 98364.02) records it as a building complex associated with the logothete Costache Ghica. Monumente Uitate attributes the site to the Ghika (Ghyka) family and lists it as accessible.
