Summary

A Neo-Romanian manor built in 1907-1911 in the Oltenian plain, about 20 km from the Danube, recognisable by its tower and trilobed arches. A large restoration project is under way and the estate is on the market as a base for boutique accommodation and events.

History

The manor was built between 1907 and 1911 in the Neo-Romanian style, with a massive tower, trilobed arches and decorative columns and balconies. In 2020 it was offered through an auction house for a small fraction of today's asking price and was described as needing heavy repairs. The current sales listing says a large restoration, already documented and approved, is under way. The original builder and later owners are not known.
