Summary

A manor dated to 1900 in the village of Lăceni (Orbeasca commune, Teleorman County), beside the village school on the Alexandria road. It is a listed historic monument with no current function.

History

The manor, listed as a historic monument under code TR-II-m-B-14349 and dated to 1900, first belonged to Emil Petrescu, a landowner at Lăceni who served as mayor of Bucharest in 1914-1916 and again briefly in 1918. His wife Maria Petrescu passed it to her descendants, and it became known as the Raineck manor after a descendant who was its last private owner. It is in the neo-Romanian style, with an arcaded facade and a rounded tower. Monumente Uitate records it as having no current function. Lăceni was a separate commune until 1968, when it was merged with Orbeasca de Jos and Orbeasca de Sus.
