Taken over by the local council in 1978; a surviving heir received compensation in 1997 under the restitution law ↗
History
The manor was built around 1700 in a walled dendrological park, laid out at the end of the 18th century and altered around 1810. Its early owners were a man named Centa and then the Prăjescu family; through the marriage of a Prăjescu daughter to the lawyer Nicolae Krupenski, of a Polish noble family, it passed to the Krupenskis. After 1948 it housed the village school (1949-1953), a machine and tractor station, and from 1978 a dispensary, maternity ward, dental surgery and library, after the local council took it over. In 1997 a surviving heir received compensation in money and land under the restitution law, but the building stayed with the commune. Leaks and theft of stone left it dilapidated, and a fire on 3 June 2011, started by a pupil, destroyed it.
