Summary

A manor-curia in Otomani (Sălacea commune, Bihor County), now a museum. It was restored with European funds and displays local everyday life and Bronze Age finds.

History

According to the museum guide, the Komáromi family bought the estate in 1723, and it later passed to other families, the last owner being István Lovass. After state takeover the building served as a holiday home, then as a cooperative headquarters and cultural centre under communism. A regional news report says it fell into ruin after 1989 and was restored with over half a million euros of EU funding. It now houses a museum.
