Presented as open to visitors at its 2022 handover
Summary
A manor built in 1846 by Gyula Dráveczky in Galoșpetreu (Tarcea commune, Bihor County). It was restored by a private owner and handed over in September 2022 as a visitable house showing the life of a 19th-century noble family.
History
The Dráveczky family is listed among the later landowners of Galoșpetreu, and Gyula Dráveczky had the manor built in 1846. The house, originally of a two-passage plan, had a front portico that was later walled in to make a room, with the entrance moved to the rear; its wooden porch ornament is considered its most valuable feature, and the manor's granary survives in good condition. A private owner bought and restored the house over about two years, partly with a 42,000-euro grant. It was formally handed over on a Sunday in September 2022, with speakers saying the work recreates its appearance from before 1830, and it shows visitors rooms matching the means of a 19th-century noble family.
