History
According to a 2023 article in the local press, the manor was built in 1914 by the landowner Iancu Ionescu, whose family held several other properties in the area. It housed the village cultural centre. In April 2023 a descendant signed a donation act giving her inheritance share, described as half the building, to the Bărcănești town hall; the other half belonged to a further heir, who was expected to donate it in summer 2023. The town hall planned to turn the building into a multifunctional venue for cultural events and to use the plot of about 2,500 m² for a dispensary and a wedding hall.
