History

The manor is dated to the 18th century; according to an oral account reported on Hungarian heritage sites, the gate frieze once read 1798, though the date is no longer visible. The Horváth family, who came to the Three Chairs by marriage and made Telechia their seat, are associated with it, and according to Ținutul Apelor the Deák family bought the property in the mid-19th century. The building took its present form in a remodelling at the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century, which added larger windows with stucco frames. It is a brick building with a cellar, a rectangular plan and a porch with a Baroque curved gable on the main facade, and the original gate has been replaced by plain brick pillars. According to castleintransylvania.ro, most of the land that belonged to the manor has been built over and, because of unresolved ownership, the manor stands empty; Ținutul Apelor and the Virtual Székelyföld tour instead describe it as exemplarily renovated.
