History
Press says a boyar/baron Furculescu built the house in 1920 on his estate, in a style the press calls Oltenian, with Florentine-style hand-painted walls; the Sotheby's text names him as Nicolae Furculescu. Ziarul Mara says the communists seized it at the start of collectivisation and that it returned to the heirs after 1989, after which a private buyer bought it and renovated it fully in 2008. It was advertised at EUR 285,000 in 2014 and EUR 220,000 in 2015, and Sotheby's now lists it at EUR 325,000.
