Summary

A manor house in Zoltan (Ghidfalău commune, Covasna County), dated 1832 and listed as a historic monument. It is linked to the Benkő and Zágony de Zágon families and is recorded as a dwelling.

History

The manor at no. 122 in Zoltan is dated 1832 in the national list of historic monuments, and a regional tourism page also gives 1832 for the Benkő manor. Monumente Uitate associates it with the Benkő family and the Zágony de Zágon (Albu de Zágon) family and records it as a dwelling. The village of Zoltan was formed when Sepsizoltan and Étfalva were united in 1899; the tourism page mentions the village's painted church panels, its baroque stone gate (of a different manor, the Czirjék manor, rebuilt in 2010) and the Benkő manor as reasons for inclusion in guidebooks.
