Summary

An early 19th-century manor ensemble in Stolnici, Argeș County, comprising the manor house, the St. Nicholas church, outbuildings and an enclosure. It was the seat of the Bălăceanu-Stolnici boyar family, who gave the village its name.

History

Stolnici was the estate of the Bălăceanu-Stolnici boyar family; the stolnic Bălăceanu settled here after moving from the Balaci estate in Teleorman. Local tradition credits the family with the village church, mill and manor house, though the manor's construction date is not known. The ensemble is listed as a monument of local importance.
