The manor is dated to 1937 and lies roughly 300 m outside Făcăeni. Aurelian Bentoiu (1892-1962), a lawyer and National Liberal politician born in the commune, lived there according to a photo caption on his Wikipedia article. Imprisoned by the communist regime from 1948 and again from 1956, he died in Jilava prison in 1962 and was rehabilitated in 1996.
