History
The manor is dated 1827 and belonged to the Manu family. According to Romanian Wikipedia, the boyar Constantin Manu, of princely descent, owned land in the area before the world wars and is credited with founding the castle of the locality (the page does not explicitly equate it with the manor ruins). During the communist years the building was practically dismantled, as its materials were taken away. What remains is listed as a monument of local importance and is described as a ruin whose original structure and decoration can still partly be made out.
