A working wine estate of about 300 ha of vines near Dobra, in Supur commune, Satu Mare County, planted mostly in 2011-2014. It is a modern agricultural property rather than a historic manor, and is offered for sale with its winemaking facilities and machinery.
History
Dobra is documented from 1214, and the sales listing says wine has been made there since about 1500. The listing links the village to the Drágffy family in the Middle Ages, later to the Rákóczi family, and says the domain was donated to the Károlyi counts in 1773. The present vineyard is far more recent: most vines date from 2011, 2012 and 2014, and the production buildings are listed as built in 2010. The listing mentions wines under the Pogany label entered in competitions. It is currently marketed by Romania Sotheby's at EUR 7.4 million.
