History

The manor served the Marghiloman family as a summer house and as the seat of the Fundeni-Tulbureasca estate, which covered 254 hectares. Of the original appearance only the wooden fretwork on the upper floor and the wrought-iron balustrade are reported to remain. It was added to the list of historic monuments in 2010. In 2017 a visitor described it as in a deplorable state, close to collapse, behind an agricultural market, and Turism Buzău describes it as disfigured but still standing, with the agri-food market of the village held around it.
