History

According to the Pandurul newspaper (2013), the manor in Vladimir dates from 1930 and belonged to the boyar Barbu Pârâianu, a brigadier general who was inspector general of the Romanian Gendarmerie from 1934 to 1938. The paper reported in 2013 that the heirs of the owner had never claimed the building. By then it housed the Vladimir police post, with officers working in one heated room, and the paper described peeling, damp walls, a leaking roof and broken windows. In 2014 the same paper wrote that the building was about to collapse and that the county police inspectorate had promised renovation that year. Monumente Uitate also records it as a police station.
