History
The manor was built in the 1920s and extended in the 1940s by Renato Bova Scoppa, Italy's ambassador to Romania in 1941-1945, who used it as a summer residence. In 1945 he sold it to Margareta Mociorniță, daughter of the interwar industrialist Dumitru Mociorniță. The communist state nationalised it in 1948 and it served as town hall, school and dispensary. It was returned to Margareta's heirs after 2000 and sold in 2003 to a businessman, who renovated it and ran the estate as an organic farm. The property was listed as a class B monument in 2004. In 2020 it was offered through an Artmark Historical Estate auction at a starting price of 600,000 EUR.
