History
The manor was begun in 1910 for Ion Luca Niculescu, of a merchant and industrialist family, to designs attributed to the neo-Romanian architect Statie Ciortan. In 1926 the estate passed to Ion Bujoiu, a professor at the Polytechnic and later a minister, and about 1932 it was remodelled by Bujoiu and Ana Ștefănescu; the last architectural works date from 1943. Bujoiu was sentenced to life at forced labour after the communist takeover. According to a 2022 article, the building has been left to decay and has been offered for sale since 2015.
